What we are, and what we’re not
HomeCare Compass is an independent UK directory and comparison service for home-care agencies regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). We help you find local agencies, compare information about them, and request quotes. We are not a care provider, a clinical adviser, or a regulated healthcare professional. We do not assess whether a particular agency or service is medically appropriate for you or your family member; that assessment must come from your GP, a social-care professional, or the agencies themselves.
The CQC data
Ratings and inspection findings shown on this site are derived from data published by the CQC under the Open Government Licence v3.0, and refreshed weekly. Ratings are point-in-timeand may have changed since our last refresh. Always confirm an agency’s current rating directly via cqc.org.uk before contracting.
Quote requests and the concierge service
When you ask us to request quotes from agencies on your behalf, we act as a messenger. We will pass your contact details and care-needs summary to those specific agencies. We don’t guarantee any agency will respond, that they have availability, or that their quote will be accurate. The quote is between you and the agency.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under UK law (including death or personal injury caused by our negligence).
Acceptable use
Don’t scrape, mass-download, or attempt to abuse the service. Don’t submit false information. Don’t impersonate someone you’re not. We reserve the right to refuse service, with explanation, at our discretion.
Changes
We may update these terms; if we do, the “last updated” date at the top of the page changes. Material changes will be notified to anyone with an open inquiry by email.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
